The cigar was inspired by Félix A. Mesa’s desire to honor his family legacy and the name of the farm where his paternal grandparents, Felipe and Caridad Mesa, grew tobacco in the Cuban province of Las Villas. It was on this farm that Mesa took his first steps, learned to be a man and began his life as a cigar maker, he said, and the new line is his opportunity to memorialize his grandparents for the many years during which they lovingly sacrificed not only for their land, but for the cigar industry itself.
