Fransisco Almante has earned his stripes in the cigar industry, and he wants you to know it. He began working with tobacco at age 7 by deveining leaves for his father. By age 12, he was already rolling cigars.
As a young man, Fransisco had the unique opportunity to work under the tutelage of two of the world’s most famous cigar makers, Mr Carlos Fuente of Arturo Fuente Cigars, and Mr. Litto Gomez of La Flor Dominicana Cigars. Having worked alongside two of the cigar industry’s biggest names gave Fransisco the ability to create incredible cigars that are extremely well made, full flavored, and perfectly constructed.
It should also be mentioned that both of these legendary cigars makers passed down an abundance of knowledge to Francisco, who, in turn, has incorporated the knowledge into his own brand. Today, that brand is known as Dominican Big Leaguer (DBL) Cigars.
This is a brand that truly has it’s head in the game. Located in Tamboril, Santiago in the Dominican Republic (also known as “The World Capital Of Cigars”), DBL has their own dedicated factory, farms, aging rooms, and fully-staffed rolling facilities. Each one of their tobacco leaves undergoes a highly secretive and rigorous curing and fermentation processes that give their tobacco an incredibly complexity and a perfect balance of flavor and strength.
